Digital Biographer Live: Meet me in Amsterdam at The Next Web Conference. April 2-3 2009

Next Web 2009I’ll be there. Will you? See http://2009.thenextweb.org

Now in its fourth year, the Amsterdam event’s focus is, as always on quality content, and extensive face-to-face networking opportunities. Organisers anticipate 750 web savvies, internet influentials, and industry journalists from over 25 countries will be in Amsterdam, to be inspired, have fun and do business.

I speak. People listen.

I have three ’set pieces’ which are informative and entertaining for intimate or large scale business events, delivered in plain english, and with some humour and style: -

1) The British Blogcasting Corporation
What blogs are, why your business should use them, how to set one up in 10 minutes, how to appear in Google in 6 minutes, how to usurp the Sunday Times in 41 minutes, and how to get customers to become your champions.

2) Why do Electric sheep jump the corporate firewall?
Why you should encourage your staff to spend time throwing sheep, friending strangers and posting photos of their holidays. And being paid for it.

3) 29 Ways & 29 Days to improve your Online Presence
Just under thirty ways in which you can dramatically improve your personal and corporate online presence in under a month. This comes with an exclusive take-away that’s ideal for those seeking to have their online visibility raised, whether you are at the top of, or just in the front line ‘infantry divisions’ of your organisation.

I also have one rather extraordinary talk which proves how amazing the human mind is at learning.

4) Learn to read Russian in 75 minutes
This will teach you to read the Russian alphabet in 75 minutes. First performed at the National Museum of Scotland in 2005. Not surprisingly, it lasts 75 minutes. Delivered from English or Spanish.

I have appeared on Independent local Radio and BBC Radio, BBC News 24 and have written for numerous online and offline publications and organisations including EBRD, NewsBase, The Next Web, as well as working with a number of TV production companies.

I am available as an expert on social media and online networking for Radio and TV interviews. I am normally no more than 15 minutes away from BBC Scotland’s Holyrood Studio in Edinburgh for TV or Radio uplinks, and have a quiet room for recordings, with a 20Mb ASDL connection on-site.

Call me on +44.845.658.9058 or Mobile +44.7966.67.37.49 for availability.
