About David Petherick - The Digital Biographer

I am a Digital Influence Architect, The Digital Biographer (as defined by the BBC), a Word Chef, and Social Media Commentator. Being a native Scot and a McLean, I wear the kilt. And for other reasons, I speak good Russian, and fair Spanish.
I was born in Edinburgh in 1964, where I still live, with my Russian wife Roza, and daughter, Angelica, and I have founded a number of companies since 1993, and am currently a director at Russian Communications, NewsBase, and Clarocada.
I enjoy photography, visual art, whisky, entertaining friends, cooking, travel, wine and literature, and really enjoy sharing and learning online. I am a Co-Author of the book ‘Age of Conversation 2‘.
This Blog’s Themes:
How to be visible, credible, legible & profitable online using social media…
I write about using social media tools and sites effectively from an individual and corporate viewpoint, and about building up a picture of how social media can be used as part of a sales, marketing and customer care strategy.
I also write about these issues as something that can help organisations to communicate honestly and efficiently with their customers and stakeholders (including their own staff).
What people pay me to do…
I am paid to make online profiles work as hard as their subjects (aka profile makeovers), and also write for The Next Web Blog, based in Amsterdam. See the Services section for more specific information if you are interested in how I might help you.
I am available as a speaker and as an adviser, and as a facilitator / host for conferences. I am based mainly in Edinburgh, but travel often to Barcelona, Moscow, London and Amsterdam.
How to contact me…
See the Contact page or just email david@also.cc
