Don\’t be stingy with your thoughts- stop by and comment! (Disclaimer: I can’t decide if this is so simple you will think I’ve wasted your time, or that you’ve heard this so many times you simply skip it. I hope not. While this could be classified as very basic, I hope it’s in some way useful.) The other day I had a discussion with someone that wants to build her referral base for her loan business. I asked “what gesture do you make to thank your clients?” In short, the answer was nothing.

What makes individuals and organizations embrace Enterprise 2.0? There’s a friendly but sharp ideological debate playing itself out on Twitter, the blogosphere, and in conference breakout sessions. I think it’s confused. On one side, there’s a group–I’ll call them the “Kumbaya Crowd”–who believe that a spirit of altruism, sharing, and teamwork for the common good are what drive use of blogs, wikis, microblogging, and social networking. For the Kumbaya Crowd, E2.0 adoption is all about culture.

Bad habits are hard to break. If you are routinely investing time in low-yield marketing methods, you have yourself a bad habit. If you need proof, just take a look at some of your daily non-business habits. Here are a couple of bad habits I’ve observed in my daily routines: Hot and cold water It’s 95 degrees out. Hot food and drink are the last thing on my list of desirable sustenance. I’m pouring ice cold chocolate hemp milk into my coffee solely to bring the temperature down so that it does not heat up my body.

“MFK” describes herself as a “thirtysomething gal with a good old-fashioned writing degree and a bloated, shiny, sexy MBA.” She works for a Fortune 50 Company and blogs at Open-Source Career Back in the spring, she wrote a guest blog entry for Blog@Work, a blog that unfortunately seems to be “suspended,” so I can’t provide the link to it. The thrust of the entry was MFK’s formula for success: “The key to taking things to the next level … is to look back after a time.

‘Twilight’ stars’ body language analyzed Ah, the age old question: are Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart an item? First they aren’t. Then they definitely aren’t because R-Pat has an “unfamous” girlfriend. Then they might be again. Then they supposedly were, but now they’re not. And certainly no one can deny that their on-screen chemistry is off-the-charts. So what gives? SPOILER ALERT! Rumors are that the producers of New Moon forbade Rob and Kristen from getting close in public, because in the 2nd part of the trilogy the two are no longer together.

This summer I took a job at a summer camp. Now I know what you are thinking; is Shane one of those weirdos who has been going to summer camp for, uh, ever, and continues to go because he just can’t get past that nostalgia of being at camp when he was a kid? (see above picture) The answer is no, I am not. I took the job based on the fact that it is video related, thus kind of photo related but not really at all. I figured in the future teaching kids that are 9-11 would get me somewhere in life.

Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates.Powered by WP Greet BoxA few weeks ago there was some discussion on Twitter about how to share valuable content you find on the web or in blogs. Many folks are pasting titles and URLs or using the TweetMeme buttons on blogs to share posts. This can take up a large amount of time, just as Digg and social bookmarking sites can.

By CR Cataunya Ransom of Mosnar Communications . Follow @Mosnarcomm . Twitter and Tweets are the most fascinating creation on the planet. At present there is no other place on earth to engage and reach tons of millions to draw brand credibility more powerful than Twitter. Luxury is a perception and for luxury brands Twitter presents an opportunity to target niche audiences. Within the Twitter universe it is easier to target and find those who like $1,000 Prada Tessuto Baby Bags or searching for Christian Louboutin luxury French shoes.

Last week I trekked down to Austin, Texas, to spend some time with a fellow leader in the campaign to elevate the role of advertising, Roy Spence. I first wrote about Roy in a blog post a few months back. Our initial phone conversation then led to this trip to continue the dialogue about how we might partner up. We were able to spend some great time with Roy, his Chief Purposologist and co-author Haley Rushing, and a few other quality folks from their agency, GSD&M Idea City . We met the day after it was announced that Roy was handing his CEO role over to Duff Stewart , and he seemed extremely charged up to focus on the new Purpose Institute .

I haven’t written a blog post in a while that focused on sports, so I thought today was a perfect time to do so. As many of my friends and family knows – I am a huge sports fan. Ever since I was little, I was always into following various sports and teams. In my family, we are HUGE college football fans (USC, Florida, Tennessee, and Army Football) – I know that my mom is counting down the days until the season starts. Even though I have been retired now for three years from track and field (wow, that is amazing!), I still follow the sport – it was a big part of my life and has helped me become the person that I am today.
