Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger?: Karl Turley – adedition.blogspot.com

“If, while Newton watched the apple fall from the tree, and began to contemplate its significance, his mobile phone began to ring, and a colleague asking where he had left the paperclips, would he have changed the world forever?”

In a chapter entitled ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger?‘ Karl asks us to slow down for a moment, switch off that phone, disable the instant message, stop twittering, emailing, messaging, poking, texting, searching – and just stop and think about the messages we are sending and receiving.

We need to give ourselves time to reflect, so that we can interpret the information we are bombarded with every day. Stop and think.
