Adrian’s central point in a chapter entitled ‘What’s the Role of Communications in the Age of Conversation?‘ is that the communications industry has treated the web as a medium for transmitting messages in the same way as they have been transmitting messages through print, television, radio and outdoor for decades. Which explains why they don’t get it.
